But if you really want photoshop… try starting with Elements… much cheaper, and you can do so much with it now, even actions. Corel or a similar program is much more user friendly and much more affordable for the average user and I am sure you can do just about anything you would want to do (brighten darken, black and white, sepia, etc) in it. PS is really expensive, even half price and is going to cost you hundreds of dollars and you won't use it much and definetly not to it's full potential. (No clown colleges or diploma mills.) That said most people don't really need straight up photoshop and you can easily use Photoshop elements to do most of this stuff. The school has to be accredited or it won't count. You will have to show proof that you are a student, but you can then buy the program for half price or better. The best deal for purchasing photoshop is to become a student for a semester at a local community college and purchase it through the school or on Amazon.
